Perfectly crispy tofu with a simple cornstarch crust

Tofu

  • Firm tofu

  • Cornstarch

  • Nutritional yeast

  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, spices)

Frying

  • Neutral oil

  • Optional: Sriracha sauce for serving

      Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut into cubes or slices

      Mix cornstarch, nutritional yeast, and seasoning in a bowl

      Coat each piece of tofu thoroughly in the cornstarch mixture

      Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides

      Serve hot, ideally with Sriracha sauce
